Complex physics in a simple package
Meet a different kind of synth, powered by a simulation of interconnected masses and springs. The physical model gets triggered by a virtual bowing action that excites the system to generate sound. Think of it as a futuristic string instrument, made in a science lab, put into a plugin.
The sound of Atoms is organic, yet otherworldly – and despite its simple user interface you can go deep to explore new frontiers in sound design .
It sounds so alive
Real-world instruments are never static. You can't pluck a string and get an identical sound twice. Atoms shares this behavior naturally.
And if subtle is not enough, you can always take the concept further: Modulate the six main parameters with a selection of powerful motion options to add extra life and create soundscapes that are constantly shifting and re-generating.

Atoms can program its own patches
Atoms offers a musically calibrated randomization algorithm that selectively adjusts each parameter based on its relationship to the others. This helps you get usable new patches with every roll of the dice.
You can narrow the behavior by limiting the possible random ranges for any knob or locking specific parameters.
Finally, the Recycle button is a second randomizer that will create new patches similar to the current patch.
So if you're stuck for inspiration, outsource the programming work to Atoms.
Physically Modeled Effects
The bottom panel gives you a range of creative effects to further sculpt your sound.
With the exception of Space (reverb), all effects are created inside the physical model itself – as opposed to being post-FX. This gives you a range of unique modulation options that are an inherent part of the physical model. Push them hard to achieve otherworldly and alien sounds.
