Can I add my own sounds to Grainferno?
Absolutely. Grainferno is built to let you explore any sample in your collection as the raw material for synthesis.
Simply drag and drop any WAV, AIFF, FLAC, MP3 or Ogg Vorbis file from your DAW or any folder on your desktop to add it to Grainferno and start using it to generate new sounds.
How do I make Grainferno play in tune?
Grainferno can instantly play in tune regardless of the source sample’s pitch when set for audio rate grain generation.
This means that new grains are generated so rapidly that they create their own pitched tone like an oscillator.
To make any sample in tune using this technique, select Key-mapped Octave mode in the Rate knob dropdown menu and use a high Rate value.
To play in tune at lower Rate values, use the Auto Pitch function to tune your source sample to the nearest C, or manually retune it as needed.
After tuning, select a Key-mapped mode of the Grains Menu pitch control to generate new grains at the pitch of incoming MIDI notes.
Are the factory samples royalty free?
Yes. Grainferno's included factory samples are royalty-free for use in your own musical works.
