Why are I Heart NY and IHNY-2 both available?
I Heart NY was our first ever plugin. Its cult success set the stage for everything that was to come for Baby Audio. Even so, we still wanted to improve on what made it great, so we released a sequel in 2022. IHNY-2 offers additional flexibility and an even more user-friendly control layout, but some users still loved the original I Heart NY. After being discontinued in 2022 when the sequel was launched, the original is now back by popular demand.
So which one should I get?
Choose I Heart NY if you want the most straightforward parallel compression experience with no bells and whistles. Choose IHNY-2 if you want additional tweakability and a more modern interface. Both plugins use the same dynamics engine for their core sound.
Can I upgrade from I Heart NY to IHNY-2?
Absolutely. If you own I Heart NY and would like to upgrade to IHNY-2, log in to your Baby Audio Account to activate your custom upgrade offer. Upgrading does not remove or deactivate your copy of I Heart NY.
